Weird tube stations

Check out today’s teatime titbit: One for the weekend: Weird tube stations

If you have ever been to London, you may have scratched your heads or even laughed out loud at the various weird and wonderful sounding place and tube (underground) station names ranging from Piccadilly Circus and Elephant& Castle to Tooting Bec and Shepherd’s Bush.

Not to worry, you are not alone and thankfully those great guys at the Beeb (BBC) did all the hard work for us and researched the stories behind the names of some of London’s most iconic place names.

I personally always had to smile to myself when traveling on the Picadilly line (north bound) and look at the name of the last stop …… wait for it …… ‘Cockfosters‘ YES!!!!

Have a great weekend!!!
