WheezyWaiter discusses Britain and USA

Think of all the stereotypes Britain/British and USA/American you can and guess what Wheezy Waiter aka Craig – my favourite YouTuber and his British guest Chris Howard discuss them in a very humourous way. Ranging from what the UK actually is and why we Brits drive on the ‘wrong’ side of the road to colonies & curries.

Even if you think you’ve heard it all before, here are two other reasons you should waste 7 ½ mins of your life on it.

1. It’s great to ‘hear’ the differences between British & American accents in one place.

2. There are a number of terms you may well not have come across and will change your life forever going forward – you will even wonder how you ever survived before without them:

‘the watershed’ = It wasn’t actually mentioned but it is the name given to 9p.m. in the UK. After this time the TV channels are allowed to show more sexually explicit programmes.

‘snuff films’ = a film showing murders (see. www.urbandictionary.com)

‘fanny pack’ = US English for ‘bumbag’. In British slang ‘fanny’ also means the female sexual organs.

‘tally-ho’ is used in hunting for telling the dogs that a fox has been seen and nowadays is a ‘come on, let’s go/do it’ exclamation !!!

‘chaps’ = British English meaning ‘men’

‘perty’ = US slang for ‘pretty’. (see www.urbandictionary.com)

Have a great weekend.
